Dichroitic filters function on the basis of interference in
connection with multiple reflections of thin dielectric layers which
have been applied by a vacuum-vaporization process. Filters of this
kind are frequently used in many different kinds of technical
applications. Their effect on the radiation penetrating
them is, among other things, represented by the spectral
transmission t [%] as a function of the wave-length l [nm].
The dichroitic layer systems described below can be applied by a vacuum-vaporization process to the most varied substrate lens elements. Their most typical use is as color filters (Dichro). We would be happy to design for you at your request these and other layer systems with concrete technical specifications like listed in our product brochure on pages 16 ff.. As a description of the transmission characteristics, we recommend DIN 58 191 or ISO 9211-2. Your inquiries: industrie@schneiderkreuznach.com
