Copal shutters with aperture click stops are now available from Schneider-Kreuznach. After retrofitting at the factory, the shutters have precise one third step click stops while retaining the intermediate stop adjustments. Aperture click stops up to and including the smallest f-stop are infinitely variable. Distinctly perceptible notching points enable exact adjustment without looking. An advantage that should not be underestimated under realistic conditions where lighting is poor or in cases when the shutter is difficult to reach.

Beginning 2003, all Schneider lenses will be supplied with these optimized Copal shutters. Retrofitting of existing Copal shutters are available upon request.
