B+W has expanded the
available filters for the Fujinon TV lenses by
adding a polarizing filter from Käsemann. Up to now,
only the B+W UV MRC Absorbing Filter was
available for these special lenses.
Käsemann
polarizing filters consist of an especially
color-neutral polarizing film between especially
ground and polished cover glasses. Thanks to this
expensive mode of manufacture, they make possible
sharper and more neutral pictures than the usual
polarizing filters. The additional MRC multilayer coating
increases this effect through several gossamer-thin,
reflection-reducing coating layers. Above and beyond
this, the cover glasses afford protection from hasty
scratches and smears - cleaning the filter is made
easier.
