... continued FILM PROCESSING and RETOUCHING I use Ilford Ilfotec HC developer in a Jobo Expert drum for film processing. Perfect results. After wards, the negative is retouched --by hand-- with a dye. A fiber-based print was made on Ilford Multigrade IV paper, retouched and then scanned to create the magazine mock-up. In view of the high- key theme, I deliberately printed the portrait at a slightly lower contrast, which also helped to retain details in the lower values. POST PRODUCTION Except for creating the fake magazine cover, every step was done traditionally, including retouching of the negative. The computer work (adding text to the photo) was done by a friend of mine, so I'm not qualified to tell you the steps here. Suffice it to say, "PhotoShop".
