Schneider-Kreuznach photo art exhibition

Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH is presenting „The New People“ by Brazilian photographer Manoel Nunes at its head-
quarters in February 2008. For the company, this exhibition kicks off a series in which the works of selected photo artists are dis-
played on a regular basis. Following each exhibition, two works will be purchased for the "SK Gallery" in order to build up an exclusive collection.

The name of Brazilian Manoel Nunes is synonymous with large format photographs. Using a special photographic technique, he documents people in their social environment. The portraits by Nunes, who has lived in Cologne since 1991, were taken with lenses from Schneider-Kreuznach.

With its interest in photo art, Schneider-Kreuznach is treading a new path. "As a manufacturer, we deal with technical aspects on
a daily basis. Photo art, on the other hand, shows us the emotio-
nality that can result from them", says Peter Lebeda, Corporate Design Manager and organiser of the events. In addition to national or international photographers, regional photo artists will also be exhibited regularly in the future.
