B+W Redhancer

The B+W Redhancer is a filter with very specific transmission properties for the intensification the red components of orange, red, or brown subjects, and is very widely used in nature and landscape photography. In connection with a pol-filter to eliminate bluish grey haze and to increase color saturation, the B+W Redhancer is especially effective. In the morning hours and in the afternoon, the B+W Redhancer evokes a generally reddish, warmer image impression, since at these times of the day, the red component in daylight is naturally higher.

Landscape photographers using it succeed in achieving an unbelievable range of colors in the color-filled autumn. Color transparency film (for diapositives) is recommended, since with negative film the automatic filtering of the printer erroneously interprets the desired effect as a color distortion, and reduces it by reverse compensation. Filter factor : 2
